Another Great Day at Weymouth Under 17s Driving Sessions

Well today has seen another great success for us with a total of 13 teenagers having a go behind the wheel at our latest under 17s driving session at Weymouth Park & Ride.

First up we had Jamilla, George and Ellie and their driving instructors were Paul Shackleton, Paula Lack and Steve Ridley our Driving Instructor Trainer in the Weymouth and greater Dorset area. Both Paul and Paula are based in Weymouth and are at the leading edge of driving instructors in Weymouth Dorset. Starting from July Paul will be starting giving up his roll as a manual driving instructor and taking his driving lessons down the automatic route. Already we have had much interest in Automatic driving lessons in Weymouth and the surrounding area including Dorchester and even as far as Blandford Forum.

Paula will still be on hand for manual driving lessons in Weymouth and Dorchester so this means we will now be able to offer a much greater choice in the services we can provide in the area.

Next up we have George Timms and his driving instructor Paul Shackleton from Weymouth.
George said of his experience today, I really enjoyed it and i liked doing the emergency stop practice the most. I am going to recommend this event to my friends and I would love to come again.

Also today we have Ellie Timms and her driving instructor was Paula Lack from Weymouth. Ellie said she enjoyed the vent very much and liked doing the turn in the road manoeuvre the most.

Next up was Max Care with his instructor Paul, Max says he also liked carrying out the emergency stop and he would love to come again.

Keyleigh Jones (15) has been on our driving events before but at our other venue Henstridge Airfield in North Dorset. Keyleigh says her steering went well today and she thinks she had good clutch control but needs to keep her eyes on the road a bit more.

Next up we have Jordon Dunford with his instructor Steve, Jordon liked weaving in and out of the traffic cones and practicing his steering control. He also would like to come again.

Next up we had a group of six youngsters from Westfield Arts College and this session was arranged by their teacher David James. David says he has never seen the teenagers smile so much and for the whole hour each of them was driving. He thinks our under 17s driving sessions are a wonderful idea and would really like the opportunity to bring this group along again in the future.

And last one of the day was Shilo Levy Godfrey. Shilo had Paul as her driving instructor and she said although she felt nervous at first it has been a great experience and would love to have another go.

At the moment I am sorry to say that we haven’t got anymore confirmed dates for Weymouth Park & Ride Under 17s as we have had a few set backs from Weymouth Council who own the land but we will keep on asking for new dates and in the mean time we will continue to hold under 17s at Yeovil College and Henstridge Airfield once a month and we look forward to seeing you at one of these venues.
