Under 17’s Driving Fun at
The Royal Bath & West Showground
October 23rd marked the launch of our latest under 17’s driving lesson venue at the The Royal Bath & West Showground. To date this is the largest driving event that we have attempted and it required 8 of our driving instructors and their cars, our Land Rover FreeLander and its trailer plus our customer support staff and 37 pupils plus one hell of a lot of traffic cones and road signs for our planned driving layout.
At the new venue we were able to offer driving tuition to anyone aged over 12 that met our minimum height of 4ft 8ins. We had a great setup with Left and Right turns, Crossroads, T junctions, Give Way and Stop junctions. We even had several areas for reversing around the corner, bay parking, parallel parking, Turn in the Road, emergency stops, and a specially laid out slalom for steering practice. All in all this new venue has a lot to offer our young pupils.
For the more advanced pupils that have reached a certain standard of driving by attending our other venues, it was also possible for them to have a go a towing and reversing our company trailer using our Land Rover that we use for B+E trailer tests.
A great day was had by all with many saying they can not wait to return for our next driving day at The Royal Bath & West Showground on February 18th 2017. You can book future events here
