The Royal Bath & West Showground

We held our latest Under 17’s driving day at The royal Bath & West Showground last weekend Saturday 18th February and we had a very special guest driver for the day in Joyce Morgan. Joyce or as known to myself as Gran turned 100 years of age at the beginning of February and she has always told me how she could still drive etc if she was allowed. My Gran is not only 100 years old but she is also registered blind so this experience was really great and a fun thing to do for her.

As well as my Gran we had a full on day with no less than 40 drivers aged between 12 and 17 having a go behind the wheel with one of our qualified driving instructors. We also had our truck and trailer back again for a driving/towing experience for the lucky experienced few that have proved too us their driving skills from attending previous driving days.

This is James Jackson (16) and from Dorset who had a drive in the truck and trailer here at the Bath & West Showground today. James has been attending the Under 17’s both here and at Henstridge Airfield for the past year and today was his 2nd go with the truck and trailer.
