What a day and night I've had

Well we held one of our under 17s driving sessions at Henstridge Airfield again yesterday Sunday 27th April. As I planed this event a few months a go I hadn’t really thought that wouldn’t be able to attend and run the show. My partner and our company secretary Laura is or now I can say was heavily pregnant with a due date on the 30th April. But after a bit of a troublesome pregnancy on Saturday 26th we were told to report to Dorchester hospital to see about being induced. So after waiting a while to seen we were told to come back the next day to be induced. Luckily for me Steve Ridley our chief driving instructor trainer that’s based in Gillingham Dorset had stepped up to run the show along with our driving instructor in Shaftesbury Richard Tucker and our driving instructor in Weymouth Paula Lack. And with most things in life things never run smoothly. Unfortunately Paula woke up on Sunday morning feeling unwell and was unable to attend the under 17s driving session. So there was a bit a ring around our other driving instructors in Yeovil Chris Jennings but Chris had a full diary of work all day Sunday so he couldn’t help, it’s amazing how Chris has become such a fantastic part of the team since joining us early this year and is in big demand for driving lessons in Yeovil and the surrounding area. Then I thought of Eric Johnson our driving instructor in Radstock but unfortunately Eric had a dear friends death to deal with and was off to see his close friends and family. So luckily the day was saved by Steve Ridley and Richard Tucker who between them managed to not only take the 8 pupils for thei under 17s driving sessions but also host the driving event as well. Now then the cause of my problems, my newborn little girl Charlotte Orgar was born at 1:25am on Monday 28th April, a whole 17hours and 25mins after we arrived at Dorchester hospital. So 3 hour sleep last night and now totally hanging but as I held her for the first time last night I know that she was totally worth the wait and who knows maybe she will be a great driving instructor one day to just like her proud daddy. So please escuss slight disorganisation in our booking department over the next few day as when I told Laura she can start back at work tomorrow I was given an evil stare. So although imp now sleep deprived it looks like I will be running the driving school office all by myself for a while. Prepare for chaos lol.

All the best
James Orgar
