He has a really good way of making your learning experience relaxed and builds up your confidence in driving. He is very patient with his students and really goes the ‘extra mile’ to ensure you are 100% before your exam. Passed first time and I don’t think I would have done it with out him. Would recommend to anyone

I have been stopping and starting with driving lessons over the last 2 years, when I started with James in April my confidence grew very quickly and I perfected a lot of different aspects which scared me .. A lot!

After deciding to take my theory test before learning to drive I then contacted Stuart Holloway to request to learn to drive with him after my sister passed with him.
He was a phenomenal instructor, incredibly knowledgable and most of all made me feel comfortable and at ease. Stuart was always having a laugh, thorough and ensured that everything was clear before moving onto the next step.
I would most definitely recommend
Stuart to anyone who is considering learning to drive as without his support and guidance I wouldn’t have passed FIRST time :)!

Thank you so much to James for getting me past my driving test second time. I was a very anxious driver and it took a fair bit of encouragement to get my confidence up! Now I’m looking forward to getting out on the road and getting lots more practice in!

So overwhelmed and excited that I’ve passed my driving test today with the very recommendable Rob, he was the best around and for anyone wanting to do an intensive course Rob is the guy to see! He’s truly incredible! Thank you to the driving school as well for teaching me so much! I wouldn’t have done it without the whole team!

Just passed my driving test first time with 2nd2none! Thank you for James for everything these past two weeks. I started driving when I was 17, but was so nervous that I decided to stop. Now age 22 I plucked up the courage to do it again, choosing the 42 hour course. A week later from the first day I was more confident than I’ve ever been driving! Thank you again James & 2nd2none!

Despite my nerves nearly getting the best of me Eric coached me through mg lessons and test and gave me the confidence I need needed to pass.after an 11 year wait due to a medical condition ive passed in no small part to Eric and his patience and tuition. Many thanks.

I’m really happy to say that I have passed today with 4 minor faults with my driving instructor Kevin Allen here in Bristol Southmead Test centre. I’d like to thank Kevin for his patience and enthusiasm with me. He taught me from the beginning and I thought I would never be able to do it. He encouraged me and every lesson we would set goals and objectives and achieve them by the end of each lesson. I would strongly recommend Kevin Allen as he is an amazing driving instructor! 🙂

I would absolutely recommend learning to drive with Stuart, he puts you at ease immediately as well as giving you all the info and skills you need to pass. I’d never thought I’d pass first time as I was really nervous, but my instructor James told me I could do it and gave me loads of encouragement!

I am currently learning to drive with 2nd2none and my instructor, James has been great. I was a really nervous driver, I hated the road and the idea of driving but he brought me out of my shell and built up my confidence and now i’m set to take my test in three weeks time!! I honestly never thought i’d be this excited to drive but James really has been encouraging and makes the lessons fun.I highly recommend this driving school for anyone who wants to learn to drive and have fun doing it!

It has been great, At first I was kindly welcomed into the car and felt that I was in safe hands while learning to drive. Throughout the whole week Rob showed me everything of how to drive the car and I probably had visited every road and roundabout in Weston. I couldn’t of asked for a better Instructor really!

I wish I’d have taken my lessons with 2ndToNone the whole time. My instructor Chris Jennings was great and I couldn’t have passed without him. After bringing him up to speed on my previous lessons he helped me to pass my test in just 6 hours. He has a lot of patience for his students, keeping the atmosphere Carm and the lessons very relaxed. Chris is an absolute asset to the 2ndToNone team and should be praised for his effort and enthusiasm. Thank you 2ndToNone for helping me pass!

Posted on Wed 10th Jun 2015 at 23:50I came back from the UAE with my daughter last summer and she had 4 weeks before we would return to the Middle East to learn to drive and get her licence. She passed her thoery test on the day we landed. Then she started some lessons with an instructor called Paul in Dorset. Coming from Dubai my daughter was petrified of fast, furious and inpatient drivers. However, her instructor was able to not only get her through and pass her test within 4 weeks but he was also able to instill in her total confidence, and reasurance that she was able to drive and actually enjoy the independance. Paul drove 45 minutes to pick her up every other day and taught her everything that she will ever need to know to drive in the UK or UAE. The transformation from a nervous, scared and insecure individual to a confident safe and responsible driver was incredible. My daughter, Sam still talks about her instuctor fondly because when she turned 18 in April and was allowed to drive in the UAE she put into practice all the valuble knowledge that Paul had given her and she drives on busy roads, in heavy traffic and blazing lights and horns do not phase her anymore. I know it has been sometime but I wanted to wait to see how Sam would cope on the roads out here and she is loving it. Thank you James for organising such a professional and taylor made instructor for Sam. Thank you Paul for your patience and incredible teacing skills, Sam has forgotten nothing especially you. I think you are amazing too!!!!!!

It does what it says on the tin. You become 2nd2none.

My lessons were always really enjoyable and this was certainly down to the fact that Eric remained so calm, but also gave clear instructions and great encouragement. He was very safety focused which was exactly what I needed and helped me pass first time! I am very glad I chose him as my instructor and I would thoroughly recommend him!

I really enjoyed my lessons with him and a big reason for that was because of his ability to teach so well. He gave clear instructions and coached me through everything I needed to know, which led me to passing first time! I highly recommend him!

The free theory test pro was a great help and I found it really helpful to get to try all of the test centres before I made my decision.

I started off terrified behind the wheel and concerned because of my limited mobility. But Paul is a great teacher who was patient with me yet pushed me when I needed to be pushed. The free access to Theory Test Pro was my revision to pass my theory and without it I probably wouldn’t have. Overall, my driving experience was fun, giggliy and a memory I plan to keep forever. Since then, I have become a much more competent and confident driver and as I type this I am on my way back from Weston Super Mare having passed my test first try! He was always cheery and pleasant ,explained everything thoroughly. Eight months later I passed my test first time. All thanks to James’ help and putting up with me.

I would strongly recommend him to anyone as he is really understanding and will do what it takes to get you through the test. and there was not a problem that was to large for him to deal with.

When I started learning with 2nd to none I was very nervous, I had already done 20 hours with a different driving school but my driving seemed to be getting worse and i was getting more nervous. I changed to 2nd 2 none and by the end of my second lesson with James I felt so much more confident! The change in how I felt whilst driving was amazing! And now after having driving lessons with James for 2 and 1/2 months I have passed my test!!! The name of the business doesn’t lie, they literally are the best!!!

I went with 2nd2none driving school after attending the under 17’s driving event at henstridge airfield back in may when i was only 16. Posted on Wed 7th Aug 2013 at 19:46This morning 01/07/13 I passed my test on my first attempt, this is all thanks to one man “James” I couldn’t recommend him enough if your a nervous person or have low confidence issues. After having a lesson with a different driving school I didn’t feel happy at all being behind the wheel so decided to look around again.
After having a phone conversation with James I felt at ease, my first initial hour of intense driving I felt a lot calmer & happier being behind the wheel.
So glad I went with 2nd2none without their calm approach to my nerves I highly doubt I would of passed, now I’ve passed I cant wait to start driving around.

James was my 8th instructor, very lucky i was to time find him whilst staying with my parents on a long holiday from Scotland. James is an excellent instructor nothing i can complain of and very nice and understanding and calm person i cant diss him. He must be very good to have helped me pass after so many tests and different instructors all i can say is he is a must have! Lol he has changed my life for the better. He has made me get over my fear of roundabouts and lories very quickly and with out me even realising it at first. The free theory training really helped me with passing my theory quickly and on my first attempt. it was a great way to learn every thing that you need to know. I felt the car was really easy to learn in and I wish I could keep it as my own car. I would highly recommend James as an instructor, if you want someone you can rely on being punctual, friendly and a overall great instructor.

After months of searching i couldn’t have got a better instructor!! I was always made to feel at ease and comfortable in the car even when i made little mistakes, or forgot which way was left or right and took us on another route, and I can now finally say i have the confidence do those big round -about’s that i was scared off.
James is a great instructor and would recommend 2nd2none to everyone!!, and looking forward to going back soon to do pass plus lessons!

He was so patient and encouraging when i got in a panic and he helped me with any questions or worries i had about driving. Definitely made me feel more confident as well. I know I panicked loads but am still alive so thanks. Great driving instructor and was patient with me. Very encouraging even when i thought i flopped the lesson but am glad i passed first time though. And the cars are quite nice.Highly recommend 2nd2none people 🙂

I passed my driving first time which would have not been possible without their assistance. My instructor was professional and was always able to answer any question I asked. I would recommend them to anyone.

Posted on Tue 10th Aug 2010 at 14:08I have passed my practical driving test after a 10-hour driving instruction from Gregory. What I like is the method of teaching which is very easy for anyone to understand. I was told the very often minor, easily forgotten errors which can cause you to fail. Once you know what the examiner expects from you, then you are 50% through. The other 50% is for you to now do the things you have been taught. Pretty much like any course and examination. Thanks to Gregory and 2nd2none for their value for money Driving School.

It was over a year since I last had a driving lesson and was looking for a new driving instructor. I had a lot of weaknesses but Bill helped me strengthen those areas until I was confident. He was very professional, friendly, calm and helpful.
I would not hesitate to recommend him to any and everyone that wants to learn to drive.

I did not pass first time round but Gregory managed to keep me focused and gave me the determination to pass second time round, i would recommomend him to everyone, thanx for everything couldn’t have done it without you.

He is calm, relaxed and lets you get on to achieve that first time pass that everyone hopes for. I have really enjoyed the experince with james,and have made good friendship along the way to! thank you for helping me pass first time with only two minors!

Thanks so much for getting me through my test. Though I passed on my second test not my first, this was purely down to nerves and not the standard I had been taught to.
I changed to having lesson with James after poor past experience with another instructor and found James really calming and easy to talk to. He takes everything slowly and allows you to make mistakes without being angry; I found his teaching structured and thorough…
After having so much support for so long it has been very strange driving on my own but am finally getting used to it, though still miss your advice!
I will definitely be recommending you any of my friends, who are looking to learn to drive,

I ended up passing on my first attempt and believe this was due not to my own driving, but my mindset where James encouraged me to believe that I could do it!

And i went on to pass my test first time for which i am very thankfull for.

He would have a laugh and he made me feel so confident driving 🙂 i never in a millions years thought i could pass 1st time but i did back in december. If your looking for both good company and an amazing driving instructor hes your man! I would recommend him to everyone! Ok you must be thinking by now im only saying this as i have to but i dont! ermmmm let me try and think of bad points errmmmm … he wont let you leave a manover until you’ve mastered it! which you might think is a bad thing but after thinking about it, it is very useful. I thought he was so good my sister is now learning with him… so if i would recommend him to family he must be good 🙂

Posted on Mon 15th Jun 2009 at 23:01If james was able to make me pass first time he can make anyone pass! i was hopeless at manovers, but he never got annoyed with me, always kept giving me positive motivation and feedback to help me improve which i did. i was very thankfull to have had such a good driving instructor and im not just saying that because i have already recomended him to my friends.
